If you move to Tome City from the another city in Japan: |
Notification must be made within fourteen days of moving. Be sure to bring
your passport and alien registration card.

If you move to another city from Tome City: |
You must notify the city hall of your new city within fourteen days of moving. It is necessary for you to show your passport.
You don't need to come to Tome City Hall.

If you move to another area within Tome City : |
Notification must be made within fourteen days of moving. Be sure to bring your passport.

If you change your residential status or the terms of your stay: |
Notification must be made within fourteen days of the change. Be sure to bring your passport,
alien registration card and a document to prove that your entry and stay are permitted by the Management Bureau of the Aliens Entry into Japan.

Loss of an alien registration card: |
The first thing you must do is notify the nearest police station about the loss of your card.
Should you still be unable to locate your card, you must report back to
the registration department to re-register as a foreign resident for a re-issue of your card.
Be sure to bring your passport and two 4.5x3.5cm photographs.

If your alien card is stained and damaged: |
A new alien card will be issued to you. Be sure to bring your passport and two 4.5x3.5cm photographs.

In the case of death of a foreign resident: |
Notification is required at the nearest branch office of Tome City Hall,
where you must return the alien registration card to Tome City.
Be sure to bring the alien registration card and a death certificate.

When you need an official certificate of a foreign resident registration,
application in person or by a family member will be accepted. |
Processing fee: 200 yen per a certificate
