1945 Born in Ishinomori, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan.
1955 Began copying reproductions of work by Jacques Villon,Kupka,Matisse and Picasso at the age of 10.
1969 After graduation from Toyo Art School, worked as a graduate assistant. Entered the Ecole Nationale Superieure des Beaux-Arts in Paris and began studying in the atelier of Gustave Singer, which lasted until1974.
1970 Traveled to Egypt, saw the Great Pyramid and was greatly impressed with this primal model of geometrical structure.
1973 Met Michel Seuphor (art critic) and Kenjiro Okamoto in Paris, beginning a lifelong association which was to have great influence on his work.
1976 He was asked Pagani museum to create a mosaic.  Italy
1979 Disagree with the principles of vertical , Paris
1986-2004 Elected to executive committee of “Grands et 2004 Jeunes d'Aujourd'hui”.
1988 Miyagi five at the invitation exhibition, Museum of Miyagi Prefecture.   Sendai
1989 Solo exhibitions in Paris, Tokyo, Sendai, and Niigata, to mark the 20th anniversary of his arrival in Pairs. A selection of his works was published.
1990 Granite of the first outdoor sculpture, south of middle school.
1991 Produced an art environment work in the Junior High School of Borough in Bresse.
1991-2007 National University of Paris, the eighth to making art teacher who works department.
1992 Minamikata Arts Festival planning.
All seven were produced contemporary sculptor at Minamikata Tome City.
1994 Made a works made of granite in Tome Festival Hall.
1995 Made a Art Bridge( NATSUKAWA PONT DES ART)and the surrounding natural environment-inspired works by making production in Natukawa Tome City.
1996 Symposium of Monumental Sculpture in Clermont-Ferrand.700 x 1400 x 4500cm
1997 International Symposium of Monumental Sculpture in Santo Tirso '97, Portugal.
1998 International Symposium of Monumental Sculpture in Quito, Ecuador. 700 x 1500 x 4500cm、Received awards for cultural merit from the Ecuador government.
1999 The 1st PU-YOE International Modern Sculpture Symposium1999, Korea.
2000 Awarded the Great Reward at the 1st Sanchung International Contemporary Sculpture Symposium, Korea.
Awarded at the South Pusan 50th Annual International Sculpture Symposium, on the 50th anniversary of the end of the Korean War.
Created the 2.5-hectare Suwa Art Park, in Nakada, Japan.
2001 Made a field molding work in Lebanon.
2002 Made a field molding work in a South Korean village.

Planned a 61- hectare art space, surrounded by living spaces, in Miyagi Prefecture.
2007 Satoru Sato Art Museum opened in Tome City
2008 Invite Paris Salon, REALITES NOUVELLES(painting geometric configuration) Steering Committee appointed by the examination.

Satoru Sato has realized 75 solo exhibitions and participated in 400 group ones in 30 countries. He has realized 40 monumental works all over the world.
